Antigua – Summer, 2003 For a little vacation during the summer break between semesters at Wharton, we went to the Caribbean. The island of Antigua called to us. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort including all food and all we could drink! There were five restaurants on the property and we tried them all. The first two pictures are from our favorite place, which had views over the bay. The third picture shows us at lunch in the main dining room overlooking the pool, which overlooked the Mediterranean.
We had a room looking onto the Mediterranean. The next picture is of Missy exploring the cathedral in the capital city. The third picture is us with our safari guide. We went on an off-road trip around the island including a trip via sea-kayak around part of the perimeter.
Here we are looking from the top of one of the little mountains onto Nelson’s Dockyard. The dockyards were used by the English navy to repair vessels from the 18th century. The second picture shows us touring the dockyards, which buildings are now hotels and restaurants. And finally, we are enjoying a cool beverage at a little antique shop in the capital city.
